Almost the end of our Boston adventure!

I know everytime I blog I say that i'm going to try and do better about keeping this thing updated, but never seem to. So once again this is quite a long post. We have been having so much fun out here and Boston and will be leaving to come home in a few days! It takes about 36 hours from here to Ogden so the drive will be long, but I am so excited to get home. This summer has flown by and we have had so many fun experiences while we have been out here. I can't believe our adventure is coming to an end! We are looking forward to going home so Adam can finish up his last semester and graduate in December, and so I can finally start working as a dental hygeinist. We are so glad that we were able to come out to Boston this summer and are sad that we won't be able to just walk across the street and go hang out with our friends everyday. Here are some of the fun things we have done the past few weeks!
TRIP DOWNTOWN TO FANUIEL HALL
We rode the T line downtown with some of our friends and were able to relax and have fun.

So this is a city toilet. You must pay 25 cent to use it. Right when we passed itAdam immediately had to use the bathroom of course. This is him waiting for the doors to close so he can do his business. I personally have never paid to use the restroom but I guess when ya gotta go ya gotta go. It is self cleaning as well and takes about 5 minutes to clean after the person is finished. Pretty good invention I guess!

Waiting for the toilet to get cleaned so Chad can have his turn!

RED SOX GAME
Before we came home we wanted to go to a Red Sox game. We are both not huge baseball fans but Fenway Park is so historic and who knew if we would ever get another chance to go. We bought some tickets from a scalper and got a pretty good deal (we think). We sat two rows up from the field and were just down from the first baseline. It was super hot that day, but we had pretty decent seats so that made up for it. They played the Baltimore Orioles and lost but we had fun anyways!

VISIT FROM THE GRIFFITHS
Adam's mom, stepdad, and little sister were able to come and visit us for a few days. We were sad that they couldn't stay longer but had fun none the less. Corrinne was actually able to stay a few extra days and then Susan flew back to pick her up. We had fun hanging out and swimming together. We were also able to go to the childrens museum which was fun as well. Despite throwing one tantrum at the mall (that day I decided not to have kids) she was pretty good. Adam and I learned a great parenting skill, bribery works wonders. Just kidding, but it really worked quite well I got my closet organized by Corrinne without even asking.
While the Griffiths were here we went and ate some seafood at Tia's. Well everybody except for me ate seafood. Despite Adam having a heck of a time meeting us at the resturant after work, it all turned out in the end and we had ourselves a lobsta fest!

We were also able to go see the USS constitution and Bunker Hill while they were here. I couldn't walk for about a week after climbing to the top of the Bunker Hill monument, but am glad I did it. The view was amazing!

Pretty view.

VISIT FROM ANETTE AND RYAN
Adam's stepmom Anette and his little brother Ryan were able to come and visit us for a week. We were so glad they were able to come and did lots of fun things. We were able to go to New York one night after Adam got off work and spend the next day there. We also did lots of sight seeing and I was glad to have someone to hang out with me everyday!

One of the days they were here we took the ferry over to Marthas Vineyard which is a small island off Boston. It was such a cute little place and they had these houses they called "Gingerbread Houses" that were adorable.

Like I said we were able to go to New York for a day. We drove to conneticut the night before after Adam was done with work and stayed there and then rode the train into Grand Central Station. It was a long and exhausting day but I am so glad we were able to go. New York is definitely not a place I would want to live. It is so crowded and made me a little chlosterphobic at times but was so fun to visit.

Adam eating a piece of pizza. I think sampling all the different types of food from the street vendors was one of Adams favorite parts/dream come true. He loves street vendor food. Me not so much.

Us with the Manhattan temple in the background. So pretty!

We were able to take a pedi cab ride around central park, which was probably one of my favorite things we did. They took us all around and gave us some history and also showed us where many movies had been filmed. It was so fun and nice to get off our feet for a few minutes.

We shopped on Canal street and found some fun things. Ben was such a trooper the entire day and finally got let out of his stroller to play while the girls shopped!

We went to Battery Park to see Lady Liberty and Ben had fun chasing the pigeons. I hope my children are as well behaved as this little boy!

We were also able to go on a Duck Tour around Boston. A Duck Tour takes you around to various historic sites in the city and then goes in the Charles river. It is basically a big boat on wheels.

Beautiful Downtown!

They even let Ryan drive the duck in the river!

After our Duck tour we ventured into Little Italy to Mike's Pastry. This is the most amazing pastry shop ever. As you can see we went a little crazy! We endulged in german chocolate cake, a fruit tart, boston cream puff, strawberry lobster tail, eclair, and oreo cheescake. Not pictured is a piece of strawberry cheese cake that Ryan seceretly inhaled without anybody knowing. Don't worry though we went back a few days later and bought 3 pieces of strawberry cheesecake and a peanut butter fudge brownie. Cheesecake was defenitely a common theme during this visit from ryan and Anette, between the four of us we probably consumed close to 10 pieces of cheesecake at various locations. Lets just say calorie overload, i'm surprised I didn't gain 15lbs.

CRAZY BOWLING
We were able to go on a little adventure with our friends Matt, Erin and Ben to a city that I can't remember the name of. A lady told Erin that there was one of the oldest bowling alleys there. We decided to go check it out and couldn't pass up playing a game when we saw how unique it was. The bowling balls were so tiny, and the pins looked like thin rods. We kept score on a sheet of paper, and the guy working there had to teach us how. He was a little crazy in my opinion and told us that this was the way everybody in New England bowled. I'm not sure if that is true, this was our first bowling experience since we have been here. All in all it was a fun time!
